Mood ring in 925 Sterling Silver or gold plated

A beautiful sterling silver ( or gold plate on sterling silver ) mood ring.
Mood rings gained popularity in the 1970s. The central idea behind a mood ring is that it changes colour based on the wearer's emotional state or mood. The ring contains a thermochromic element that is sensitive to temperature changes, this is basically a thermal ( heat reactive ) polish in jewellery form!

Colours you will see in this ring include black, brown, yellow, green, turquoise, blue and purple. The range of colours is beautiful!

Like a thermal nail polish, the effect doesn't last forever unfortunately. Eventually, your sterling silver mood ring will stay black and stop responding to temperature changes. If taken care of, you can expect your mood ring to last several years ( up to 5 years is not unheard of! ) but there are some important things to remember

• Keep away from water! Mood rings are very susceptible to water damage.
• Keep away from high temperatures! Like thermal nail polish, high temperatures can degrade your ring quickly.
